Collaboration in Healthcare - Everyone Matters

"Neil Jordan, Worldwide General Manager of the Health Industry for Microsoft. Doctors, specialists and other healthcare professionals need to be able to share the most up-to-date information, whether they are in a hospital or clinic, treating a patient, travelling between facilities or teleworking. They need communication and collaboration tools that help them connect with each other and with critical information to improve their performance and reduce errors."

“make them use it” is not a valid EMR adoption strategy

"Of course we are all aware that a traditional EMR rollout is a huge financial commitment (thus raising the financial risk considerably, in addition to the operational risk of upending the healthcare organisation for a minimum of two years while the project is implemented). In many cases, those risks are well flagged and whilst typically underestimated, they have at least been given strong consideration. We are delighted to have partnered with CeADAR, Ireland’s Centre for Applied AI. This partnership aligns with our vision of using digital transformation to improve the patient experience and that of the organisations and individuals that care for them. One of the biggest drivers of how healthcare is provided is the use of data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to improve patient safety, organisational efficiencies and the patient experience. As members of CeADAR, we can harness their expertise in the area to bring an even stronger offering to our clients.

David Nash, Vitro Software CEO & Chairman says, “This is an important step for us and our clients, we will start to work with them over the coming year and beyond on projects that enable clients to be more efficient in their operations and ultimately improve the patient experience. We expect to see our clients use the diagnostic and predictive capabilities of AI to respond better to their patient needs through the Vitro platform. Examples may include using the highly accurate capabilities of AI to interpret medical images, for example, CT scans, mammograms and ultrasounds, and extract information to support clinician decision making. There are multiple opportunities to aid any given process, but we are pragmatic about working in partnership with our clients to offer them tailored solutions that meet their specific demands”
