“make them use it” is not a valid EMR adoption strategy

"Of course we are all aware that a traditional EMR rollout is a huge financial commitment (thus raising the financial risk considerably, in addition to the operational risk of upending the healthcare organisation for a minimum of two years while the project is implemented). In many cases, those risks are well flagged and whilst typically underestimated, they have at least been given strong consideration. However the biggest risk to such a project is usually one that doesn’t receive much attention – user adoption"

As 2011 draws near to close most companies begin to wind down their operations for the current year and plan for the New Year, however Sláinte Healthcare has a different set of plans. The company has just launched new hospital projects in Australia and the UAE in late November and December holds further expansion into Saudi Arabia, UK and the UAE while still acquiring new clients in the Irish market.

Sláinte Healthcare is also recruiting with plans to recruit 30 new staff in 2012 to keep in line with its growing client base, expansion into new markets and the continued development of its portfolio of products.

Developing strong innovative products like Claimsure (for Revenue Cycle Management) which is currently implemented at some of the largest hospitals in Ireland such as Cork University Hospital, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, St. James’s Hospital is the reason for the company doubling in size each year since it began operations in 2006. Also their newest technology Vitro™ (which enables hospitals to become paperless) has had huge success in the international markets in 2011 due to Sláinte Healthcare empowering hospitals to reduce the focus of staff time on patient administration and increase the time spent on patient care.

Another achievement of Sláinte Healthcare is its integration expertise which stems from the fact that all their products are predicated on seamless integration to disparate internal hospital systems. As a result, the team has developed tremendous expertise in healthcare systems integration addressing a wide range of issues. Lead by strong core competencies, as the company finishes 2011 as it intends to start 2012, with exciting new projects in the pipeline.
