"Neil Jordan, Worldwide General Manager of the Health Industry for Microsoft. Doctors, specialists and other healthcare professionals need to be able to share the most up-to-date information, whether they are in a hospital or clinic, treating a patient, travelling between facilities or teleworking. They need communication and collaboration tools that help them connect with each other and with critical information to improve their performance and reduce errors."

“make them use it” is not a valid EMR adoption strategy

"Of course we are all aware that a traditional EMR rollout is a huge financial commitment (thus raising the financial risk considerably, in addition to the operational risk of upending the healthcare organisation for a minimum of two years while the project is implemented). In many cases, those risks are well flagged and whilst typically underestimated, they have at least been given strong consideration. However the biggest risk to such a project is usually one that doesn’t receive much attention – user adoption"

Vitro Software has extended its industry-leading Breast Screening Digital Medical Record to now offer an end-to-end solution for Breast Screening organisations. In addition to the management of clinical information during the assessment process, the Vitro Digital Medical Record now includes client administration functionality and clinical management of the screening process.

The Vitro Breast Screening solution can manage the entire screening process, from initial invitation to screening appointments, scheduling, client communications and reminders, follow up appointments and the management of the client's clinical documentation from start to finish. Vitro's end-to-end solution will help Breast Screening organisations globally to eliminate paper, save time, reduce administrative workload including duplication of data entry, optimise client throughput and provide an improved service to their clients.

Vitro offers exceptional flexibility and Breast Screening organisations can now choose an option that best suits their needs, either to integrate Vitro with their existing client administration software or to choose Vitro's specialist end-to-end solution. Vitro's Digital Medical Record has unique inbuilt flexibility so that it can meet the needs of any Breast Screening organisation. It can be fully tailored to reflect their unique processes and care pathways and can be integrated with any external systems such as existing Radiology systems.

David Nash, Vitro Software CEO says, "Breast Screening organisations do such vital work in detecting breast cancer for populations around the world and we are very proud to be able to provide these organisations with software that can reduce administration, create efficiencies and facilitate early diagnosis. We feel it is important to offer clients flexibility in terms of the solutions that best meet their needs, either through the level of tailoring to match their processes or the level of functionality they require."

Vitro's Breast Care Product Manager, Joanna Gigon says, "As Breast Screening services begin to return to normal, and demand increases with some sense of urgency, Vitro can help these services with many of their current post-Covid day-to-day challenges, including improving their client flow through appointments."

Ms Gigon goes on to say, "Our solution has been specifically designed for Breast Screening organisations in conjunction with specialist experts. It provides a fully digital experience for both clients and clinicians, while also giving clinicians immediate access to client data, and it fully supports multidisciplinary consultations between authorised Breast Screening professionals. Using Vitro's fully integrated solution saves clinicians time on administration and reduces duplication of data entry."
