Vitro Software launches their patient portal functionality in Australia

Vitro is live with a GP integrated Patient Portal in Australia

This month, we had the great pleasure of going live with MyNetCare, a project with the Hunter Alliance in Australia and our first client specific web-based patient portal accessible from patients' homes. This project has once again highlighted Vitro’s ability to inter-operate with multiple complex systems, being directly accessible from a range of GP patient management solutions and care providers.

How MyNetCare benefits patients

MyNetCare has been designed to improve the experience of patients living with advanced illnesses. It improves communication between patients, their families and carers, and the clinicians and services providing them with care. They can access the most relevant and recent information about their healthcare, including diagnoses, details of advanced care plans, their goals of care and it provides a platform for patients to record their level of well-being and health issues. In addition to patient access, healthcare providers also view and record information, in real-time, enabling them to quickly and easily access patient information from their own practice. MyNetCare allows the sharing of Clinical handovers and relevant patient information across a range of approved and integrated care providers, including GP practices within the Hunter Valley Region in Northern NSW, Australia.

Healthcare professionals access clinical handovers & patient information

Clinicians can access in real-time clinical handovers that includes a summary of a patient's medical history and current problems and also well-being information entered by patients. It provides the patient's key contacts, information on social supports and services. The record is available across the acute, primary, community and aged care sectors in the greater Newcastle region.

The MyNetCare strategic approach to going live was progressive, with a first stage in early November that gave access to MyNetCare staff. The objective was to help them to become familiar with the product and gain the confidence to advocate for the program among patients. The first patient then enrolled on the 7th of November with many new patients availing from the service since then.
