Congratulations to Sláinte Healthcare’s Berne Gibbons who has been announced as the new national chairperson for the AIIA eHealth Special Interest Group (SIG), Australia. The Health SIG was founded in 2010 and is for professionals with an interest in ehealth, community and aged-care.
The Health SIG focuses its work on how the Australian ICT sector can collaborate with the Australian government and other stakeholders to transform the healthcare industry using true technology partnership.
The objectives of the Health SIG can be split into two sections, ‘Sustainable Health’ and ‘Intelligent Health’. Sustainable Health includes objectives such as modernising Health business and procurement models and Intelligent Health includes leveraging ICT to improve decision making and reduce mistakes and errors.
